Overview

West Port has been dealing with widespread landscaping and irrigation problems that have frustrated homeowners across multiple phases. The issues are compounding:

The irrigation mess:

  • The original builder-installed irrigation systems are aging and poorly designed
  • Many systems have broken heads, leaks, and coverage gaps
  • The infrastructure was not built to handle the community’s growth

The landscaper situation:

  • A new landscaping company (FCC — Florida Commercial Care) was brought on to help address issues
  • FCC was expected to help fix irrigation problems as part of their scope
  • Progress has been slower than expected and many areas still have problems

Making it worse — the drought:

  • A recent drought made irrigation problems dramatically more visible
  • Lawns and common areas suffered due to inadequate water coverage
  • Fortunately, several days of good rain have provided temporary relief

Homeowners are encouraged to report specific irrigation issues to FCC directly at westportsupport@floridacommercialcare.com or through the Alliant Property Management portal.
